Coming up for the second half of 2024
I was recently on maternity leave after having my first child, which is why I’ve been a bit absent these past few months. My husband and I are excited to bring our baby girl into the world. It’s truly amazing how much you can love someone so incredibly, all at once. But now that I’m back, I am ready to pick up where I left off!
Next Piper book
Despite being on a little break, I have been working on my next book in the Piper Stories. For me at least, writing isn’t something I can just turn off. Sometimes, a thought will come into my head late at night and I must get it down on paper or it will be lost by morning. This will be the fourth book in the series and it focuses on something that is very familiar to me: the violin. I played the violin for about seven years when I was much younger. I had a love/hate relationship with the violin. I loved it because I enjoyed playing it (sometimes) and hated having to do recitals every year. After seven years of playing, I realized that the violin—or any instrument for that matter—was for me.
Piper discovers that she loves playing the violin but she gets nervous about playing in front of people. Sound familiar? They say to write what you know! I am excited to finish this book and have you all read it. While writing it, it brought back a plethora of memories of my time playing the violin.
I hope to launch the book by Aug 8—my birthday!
Other updates
I have other exciting things planned for the second half of the year. I plan on selling a few more digital items that will be Piper-themed. This is something I’ve been wanting to do for a while. And who knows, maybe I’ll be able to get the fifth book in the Piper series to be written and published by the end of the year. Who knows?
New Instagram
Something you might not know about me is that I enjoy sewing. I have been sewing for most of my life and I have my mom to thank for that. She taught me how to sew from an early age, even if I was too impatient to learn. I’m grateful for this skill she gave me. It’s a skill I’m excited to pass down to my daughter. And just for funizes, I have started an Instagram account to document some of the things I make because, why not? You can follow me at @lindensews if you are interested.
Thanks for reading as always and I’ll keep you all updated!
